Palpatine, of course, even played a role in shaping the galaxy's most well-known antagonist, Darth Vader, when he completed his quest to turn Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) to the dark side in the final installment of the prequel trilogy, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005).

While no plans have been announced for a Sheev Palpatine prequel series, we think Hiddleston could kill the role, particularly given his experience as the traitorous Loki. As CinemaBlend notes:

Furthermore, they are open to spinoffs featuring familiar characters.
